Galactic Cats is an horizontal-scrolling 2D space shooter featuring Luna, a cat-inspired by the Sailor Moon franchise. Players navigate Luna through space, engaging in combat against a variety of enemy types while managing resources such as lives and special abilities. Luna’s primary attack consists of projectile-based moon blasts, while a limited-use shield provides temporary invulnerability.

The game introduces progressively challenging enemies, including multi-directional shooters and a final boss. Players can collect power-ups to restore health, gain shield charges or enhance weapon capabilities. Scoring is based on enemy eliminations, grazing near enemy fire, and time-based performance.

The game was developed and tested on Arch Linux and Mac.
